Can I bring family and friends?

Yes, the event is open to the public, everyone who would like to join us in ‘Honouring Women United by Defence Service’ is welcome to attend.

 

What is the dress code?

Dress code for the Australian War Memorial:
Lounge suit/day wear, decorations/medals
ARMY: Dress Order No 1B Ceremonial Service Dress
NAVY: W2 Winter Ceremonial Uniform
RAAF: Ceremonial Dress 1

Dress code for the dinner at Parliament House:
Lounge suit/cocktail.
ARMY: Dress Order No 1C General Duty Service Dress
NAVY: W3 Winter Ceremonial Uniform
RAAF: Service Dress 1

What is included in the dinner ticket?

The dinner ticket includes a meal, drinks and entertainment. The bar will be open for drink sales at the conclusion of the drinks service.

Is parking available?

Yes, underground parking is available at Parliament House. The first two hours are free followed by a fixed fee of $7. Accessible parking is located close to the public lifts. There are also additional car parks located within walking distance of Parliament House.

Should I arrive early?

Security screening ensures a safe environment for both visitors and parliamentary staff. The time that this takes varies with the number of people waiting to come in, but please allow at least 30 minutes when planning your visit. If you require any assistance with the security screening process, please ask a Parliament House Security officer. If you have any specific accessibility needs or concerns with security screening, please email or call Parliament House on 02 6277 5399 ahead of time so we can best accommodate your visit.

Can I add a seating request to my booking?

Guests will be allocated tables according to their booking reference and any requests made at the time of booking. Any changes and/or requests should be emailed to guild@warwidowsnsw.com.au. Please note, we cannot guarantee these requests, but will endeavour to do so. Tables will comprise 10 seats and table numbers will be advised on arrival at the dinner.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes, please bring your printed ticket with you to the dinner.

Has any transport been organised?

As everyone is staying at different hotels, no transport has been organised this year. Please let us know if you would like any taxi phone numbers. Or your hotel should be able to book one for you.

 

What's the refund policy?

Refunds are not available for this event, but tickets are transferable if you are unable to attend.
